Bar-B-Q Brisket (Beef/Bison)

Description: A great meal for a Sunday dinner!

  • 10 lb. Brisket
  • 2 Onion Chopped
  • 2 Garlic Clove Pressed
  • 6Tblsp. Butter
  • 2 Cup Ketchup
  • 2 Cup Water
  • 4 Tblsp. Cider Vinegar
  • 2/3 Cup Brown Sugar
  • 3Tblsp. Worchestershire Sauce
  • 2 tsp. Chile Powder
  • 2 tsp. Dry Mustard
  • 2 tsp. Lemon Juice

Preparation: Salt and pepper brisket and place in baking pan in pre-heated oven 400 degrees for 30 minutes.
Cooking: Saute' onions and garlic in butter, add remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Take the brisket out of oven after the 30 minutes are up and pour the ingredients over the top of the brisket. Cover and bake at 325 degrees for 5 to 6 hours or until tender. Cool brisket and refrigerate overnight. Next day remove fat and slice very thin against the grain. Place back in baking pan with sauce and reheat in 350 degree oven for about 1 hour or until hot.
Serving: Great served with mashed potatoes.
