I read the bill, and it does not call for the elimination of organic farming. There is no mention of organics, heirloom seeds, etc. The bill seems to refer to processing facilities such as slaughterhouses and sets up inspection standards. As usual there are always scare tactics from one side or the other with any bill. You can read the actual text of the bill at http://www.govtrack.us/congress/billtext.xpd?bill=h111-875 and decide. And, no, I don’t work for agribusiness. I’m in retail and a dedicated environmentalist and organic gardener. And, no, the bill definitely has nothing to do with home gardening.
